Welcome to a place that will list updates to my site, my art and creative projects. I wanted to keep a list of the on-going activities and events that I participate in as I reach for new horizons in both creating art and writing.

Sometimes we are own worst critics at what we have achieved... and I hope that this will serve two purposes. It will let visitors know quickly what has recently been added, and it will show me that I am ever moving forward... even if at times it appears inwardly that I am not....

Verse and Vision 2009

After a 2 year gap, the Cowichan Valley Art Council is sponsoring "Verse & Vision 2009". This event brings together two separate artistic forms, poetry and art, in an unusual and intriguing way. Poems by local artists will be interpreted by artists in various media formats. The artworks will be on display from October 19th to November 19th in the Telus Lobby, Cowichan Theatre, at the Island Savings Centre, Duncan, BC. I am currently working on three entries for this event and am very excited to be part of this exciting event.

This has been a work in progress for a few weeks. From building a gallery of more recent artworks, to now adding in a few more features that will allow me to share new endeavors and and activities. My site will contain a page of events which will identify upcoming and past events that I have attended and participated in. It will also contain a blog that will have a category for competitions that I have enterred and won recognition in.

CVAC - July 2009

I'm very excited about joining CVAC the Cowichan Valley Arts Council. I moved to the Cowichan Valley in 2008 and am thrilled to find that the community is very supportive of the arts. I am looking forward to joining in on many of the opportunities and events that they sponsor. Previously having been a member and volunteer of the Nanimo Arts Council, it is awesome again connecting with the community of artists in the area that I live in.
